It's got that chill reggae groove and the raw ska punk sound, that made me love Sublime. You guys are great.

It's a great song, no doubt there ;3 , but it isn't ska.
Ska is characterized by the guitar, or piano, playing on the offbeat, and your song
remind me more of pop punk with horns... But I guess now-a-days that's what
the kids think ska is... D:
Author's Response:
Ska is characterized by offbeat, yes, but also by ska chords, horn riffs, and walking bass lines. We've got two out of four, three out of four on some of our songs, so...
:P
I'm just running my...fingers? Anywho, our new songs have the offbeat, they have the Ska chords, they have the bass lines and the horns (Just wait until you hear the new-and-improved 'Greatest Things in Life!!'). The only thing we need is the skank pit!
As for kids nowadays, you can bet your last buck we know what Ska is. :D I, personally, listen to a lot of Prince Buster and The Skatalites.

It's a great song, not ska though (At least not the first one... More like pop punk
with horns.) But the hidden track, on the other hand, is pretty cool.
You've got a solid horn section, and great potential. Hope to hear more from you.
Author's Response:
Believe me, you will! I'll agree with you in regards to our early stuff, but we've got 4 brand new songs, and 2 rewrites, that are all about 400% more ska than this. So check back later, I'm hoping that we have everything done and recorded by the end of April. I can't guarantee it, since we've all been extremely busy the last couple of weeks, but here's hoping!
*Edit*
I'd also like to thank you for commenting on the hidden track! It's one of my favorite things to play ever, and I wish more reviewers would listen to it and review it as well. Ah, well.
